Broken Teeth – Bulldozer (TMU RECORDS)

Holy Shit – what the guys around singer Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys / WatchTower) are presenting here is truly remarkable. Imagine the bastard of a relationship of Motörhead, AC/DC and Aerosmith.  Seven tracks to admire, which hardly allow a breather.  It starts with the fast-paced ‘Raining Fire’. With a great riff, great leads and a “full on 12” refrain.  It goes on with the groovy ‘Red River Rising’ followed by the incredible ‘The Rough And The Tumble’. The latter song is an absolute live-breaker, a show-opening song par excellence.  Pretty big!  ‘Flamethrower’ goes exactly in the same vein.  No time to breathe.  Then it comes to ‘Lightning Strikes’, a great cover of an Aerosmith classic. Next is ‘Devil On The Road’.  Again pure live rock – made for smoky and sweaty clubs.  The conclusion of the EP comes with ‘The Hammer’ an homage to Lemmy of Motörhead.  No better way to implement a cover version.  Those who remain sitting quietly while listening to this album really got a problem.  Just push play on and on.  Thumbs up for Broken Teeth!
